Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the calory of a fuel gas easily with high accuracy by detecting the concentration of a specific gas which influences the calculation of the calory, and making the correction.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel gas is discharged through a control valve 5, a heat flowmeter 6 and a laminar flowmeter 7 at the low pressure in the vicinity of the atmospheric pressure via a pressure reducing valve 2 and a filter 3. The valve 5 is driven via a PID controller 13 on the basis of the set value of an operator 12 so as to make the output of the heat flow meter 6 constant. The differential pressure ΔP of the laminar flowmeter 7 is measured by a differential pressure transmitter 8. The temperature T of a flow passage 1 and the absolute pressure P are respectively detected by a thermometer 9 and an absolute pressure gauge 10. The volumetric flow rate Q and the calory H of the fuel gas are operated by the operator 12. When the hydrogen gas or carbonic acid gas is included in the fuel gas, the constant of proportion in calculating the calory is changed. Therefore, the calory H is corrected corresponding to the concentration of the gas detected by a gas detector 11.
