Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous input of a numeric value such as dimensions in cam design using a CAD.
SOLUTION: When an operator selects the desired kind of a cam at first, a CPU 11 reads corresponding data from an RAM 12, and allows a display 30 to display the basic mechanism drawing of the cam. When a prescribed movable side in the mechanism graphic is selected by a mouse 22, and moved to an arbitrary position on a screen, the CPU 11 calculates the position vector of the movable site, and allows a mechanism drawing deformed according to the mouse operation to be displayed. After the rough mechanism drawing is finished in this way, a dimension input dialog is opened, and a numeric value is inputted while the position of the dimension is confirmed by the mechanism drawing.
