Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cam follower which can reduce frictional loss caused by sliding, and reduce a large power loss.
CONSTITUTION: In a cam follower, roughness of a surface being in contact with a cam is not more than 0.2μm, preferably, less than 0.1μm in ten point mean roughness (Rz). Vickers hardness of the surface is not less than 100kgf/ mm2, preferably not less than 1200kgf/mm2. Young's modulus may preferably be 25000kgf/mm2.
