Abstract:

To solve the problem wherein there is no rocker arm for absorbing misalignment by taking into consideration a crowning quantity of a roller, a head, the effective length of the roller and radial clearance though there is a technology for absorbing the misalignment by regulating the axial directional length or a radial directional head of crowning formed on an outer peripheral surface of the roller abutting on a cam.

This cam follower is constituted so as to absorb the misalignment by determining a tiltable range of a needle roller 15 on the basis of four factors of radial inside clearance ; Rs, the total length of the roller : B, an effective width of the roller : Lw and the maximum depth of the crowning : Dms without forming the crowning or a curved surface in the roller 3. Even when applying work on the needle roller 15, the needle roller is preferably formed in a required shape in a conventionally performing work process, and thus, productivity of the rocker arm is not deteriorated.
