To provide a cam lobe for an assembled camshaft with competitive manufacturing costs capable of preventing breaks caused by extending works of a tube.
The cam lobe 30 comprises a base circle portion 31 arranged on a through-hole 32, and a nose 34 extending outward to a radial direction rather than the base circle portion 31. The cam lobe 30 is fastened on an outer periphery of a shaft material by radially extending the shaft material after inserting the circle-shaped shaft material into the through-hole 32. A material of the cam lobe is composed of case hardening steel, and surface hardening treatment is applied to the cam lobe after it is formed to a cam shape. The relationship of a radial thickness T (mm) between an inner periphery of the through-hole 32 and an outer periphery of the base circle 31 with a radial depth D (mm) within a range having hardness of 550HV or more around the inner periphery of the through-hole 32 satisfies an expression of D≤0.4167T-1.0 (however, T≥2.4).
