Abstract:

PURPOSE: To solve the ununiformity of the pressure force of a roller to a cam plate by determining the contour of an auxliary cam so that an angle is varied corresponding to the inertia forces resulting from acceleration and deceleration of a machine part during rotation of the main and auxiliary cams.

CONSTITUTION: A main cam 1 and an auxiliary cam 2 are mounted on a common rotary shaft 3 and rotated at a rotating speed (n), a roller 4 pressed by the tension of a spring 8 is rotated along the main cam 1 surface, a roller 5 is rotated along the auxiliary cam 2 surface, the roller levers 6, 7 are independently swiveled on a swiveling shaft 9, and the roller lever 6 drives a swing gripper or the like through a boss 10. The contour of the auxiliary cam 2 is determined so that an angle α between both roller levers 6, 7 is varied corresponding to the inertia forces causing from the mass M by the acceleration and deceleration of the roller lever 6. Whereby the generation of the excess pressure force of the roller or the temporary underpressure of the roller which causes the vibration, can be prevented, and the ununiform abrasion can be also prevented.
