Title:
CAM SHAFT BEARING STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006118379
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a cam shaft bearing structure reducing friction loss of the entire bearing structure.

The bearing structure of the invention comprises a camshaft 11 for driving an intake valve 3 provided at every cylinder 2 of an internal combustion engine 1 and bearing parts 13-16 rotatably supporting the camshaft 11. The bearing parts 13-16 are respectively arranged so that periods in which they receive reaction force from the intake valves 3 are not overlapped and supporting stiffness of the camshaft between the cylinders 2 adjacent to each other is smaller than supporting stiffness of the camshaft between the other cylinders.
