Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam shaft molding device which does not require a seal member.SOLUTION: A cam shaft molding device 100 expands diameter of a part where a cam lobe 511 of a hollow shaft W is fitted loosely, and fits the cam lobe 511 loosely fitted to the hollow shaft W to the hollow shaft W. The cam shaft molding device 100 comprises: a mold 120 for supporting a part of the hollow shaft W where the cam lobe 511 is fitted loosely so as to be expanded in diameter freely; an inner shaft 110 to be inserted into the hollow shaft W; and a transfer device for transferring a dilatant fluid. The inner shaft 110 comprises: a first channel 111 formed along an axial direction in the inner shaft 110; a groove part 113 formed along a peripheral direction on an outer peripheral surface of the inner shaft 110; and a second channel 112 for coupling the groove part 113 and first channel 111. The transfer device transfers the dilatant fluid to the first channel 111 in a state that the groove part 113 is positioned on the part of the hollow shaft W where the cam lobe 511 is loosely fitted.
