Abstract:

To restrict the increase of load of a timing belt and the vibration of a cam shaft of a valve system of an engine valve of an internal combustion engine with a dynamic damper fitted to an end of the cam shaft, and while to improve the lifetime of the timing belt.

A dynamic damper 12, which can restrict the vibration due to the torsion of a cam shaft 3 of an internal combustion engine 1 and the increase of load of a timing belt due to the increase of acceleration of an engine valve of the internal combustion engine 1, is provided in a dead space D of the internal combustion engine 1 without changing the state layout. With this structure, detecting accuracy of a cam sensor 13 for discriminating air cylinder is improved.
