Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance the installation accuracy by grouping cam pieces into a plurality of types with symmetrically dislocated key locations from one another by a certain specific angle. CONSTITUTION:Each of cam pieces A, B is provided with a key 11 at its inner surface to serve both for coupling and alignment, and key location is dislocated a specific angle 1/2alpha deg. from their common center line to opposite directions in A and B. This contributes to reduction of the number of locational grooves a-d to be formed in the shaft 10. Thereby the necessary processing can be facilitated, as well as the accuracy of cam shaft installation enhanced.
