Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a cam shaft with gears having a light weight and sufficient strength and capable of effectively absorbing vibration, by forming a cam shaft with gears en bloc with strengthened compound synthetic resin including reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:A cam shaft 1 is formed with a shaft portion 2 comprising an approximately cylindrical solid body, a cam portion 3 integratedly attached to the shaft portion 2 and a gear 6 integratedly attached to one end of the shaft portion 2. Said shaft portion 2, cam portion 3 and gear 6 are formed with strengthened compound synthetic resin 8, and reinforcing members 9-11. Said strengthened compound synthetic resin is formed by blending synthetic resin with one kind or more than 2 kinds of fibrous material.
