To provide a camber angle adjusting device reducing unsprung weight by a simple structure and improving ride comfort and kinematical performance, and a setting method for appropriately determining parameters of members of the camber angle adjusting device.
The camber angle adjusting device includes a base member 2 supported below a spring with respect to a suspension system 21; a drive member 3 installed in a vehicle body above the spring and generating a drive force; a cable member 4 swinging around a support supported by the base member 2, and transmitting the drive force generated by the drive member 3; a swing lever 5 disposed below the spring and connected to the cable member 4; a crank member 9 disposed below the spring and rotated by the rotation of the swing lever 5; a speed increasing section 8 increasing the speed of the rotation of the swing lever 5 and rotating the crank member 9; a moving member 10 disposed below the spring and moving linearly by converting the rotary motion of the crank member 9; and a rotating member 12 supporting a wheel 40 and rotatably supported around a camber shaft with respect to the base member 2 accompanied by the movement of the moving member 10.
