Title:
CAMBER ANGLE CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0550828
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a camber angle control device wherein a steering characteristic change of a vehicle can be controlled by transiently controlling a camber angle in accordance with acceleration/deceleration running when the vehicle is turned.

CONSTITUTION: Longitudinal acceleration Xg and lateral acceleration Yg are read (S1) respectively from a detection signal of a longitudinal acceleration sensor 3 and a detection signal of a lateral acceleration sensor 4 to discriminate (S2) whether a vehicle is in acceleration running or deceleration running from the longitudinal acceleration Xg positive or negative, and target camber angles θFL to θRR of each wheel are calculated (S3, S4) in acceleration/deceleration running respectively by using the longitudinal and laterial acceleration Xg, Yg. A target output value from a stroke sensor 2 for satisfying these target camber angles θFL to θRR is calculated (S5) to control a camber angle matched with this target output value.
