In the camera accessory 10, a grip part 12 freely rotatably attached to an accessory main body 11 is composed of three legs 12a to 12c and thereby given the function of a tripod. In a state (A) where the legs 12a to 12c are integrally collected, a thumb screw 14 is rotated and fastened. As a result, the legs 12a to 12c are locked so as to be unrotatable. Thereby the legs 12a to 12c function as the grip part 12. After the grip part 12 is brought into a state (B) where the legs 12a to 12c are alternately opened by loosening the thumb screw 14, the thumb screw 14 is fastened. Thereby the grip part 12 functions as a tripod such that a digital camera with the camera accessory 10 attached thereto can be held upright stably on a desk or suchlike. By loosening the thumb screw 14 and accommodating the integrally collected legs 12a to 12c into the recess of the accessory main body 11, the camera accessory 10 can be carried in a compact form.
