To provide a camera blade drive device that makes a height of a blade chamber low to meet a need for thinness of a camera mounted in a mobile device such as a recent portable mobile phone, a smart phone or the like, and makes the blade chamber have sufficient strength.
In the camera blade drive device, a blade chamber is composed of only two thin plate metal members 1 and 2 having an aperture part for a photographing optical path, one metal member 2 has a rib 2b provided in an outer periphery, and the blade chamber is formed by receiving the other metal member 1 on a top surface of the rib or a step part thereof. Further, the blade chamber has a synthetic resin-made bottom plate 5 in which a drive source of the blades 10 and 11 provided in the blade chamber is attached to face any one of the metal members forming the blade chamber. Shafts 5h and 5i provided in the bottom plate pivotally support the blades provided in the blade chamber in a rotatable manner.
