This camera calibration device performs camera calibration for projecting a plurality of camera images from a plurality of cameras on a predetermined surface and synthesizing the same based on the photographing results of the respective cameras on a calibration pattern disposed in a common photographing area of the plurality of cameras. The camera calibration device determines whether or not the calibration pattern is observed by the plurality of cameras based on the photographing results, creates the designation contents for putting the calibration pattern in the common photographing area and observing the same by the plurality of cameras based on the photographing results on deciding that the pattern is not observed, and informs an operator for performing calibration pattern arrangement work of the designation contents.
