To obtain a camera device capable of improving the SN ratio of sound and the directivity of a microphone by effectively reducing the influence of noise generated in a video camera at video recording.
The camera device is constituted of a sound collecting microphone 9 arranged in the front side of the upper surface of a video camera body part 1 together with a strobe device 8 so as to be moved to a pop-up position for popping up a microphone sound collection part 9a from the body part 1 to the front side of the camera integrally with the strobe device 8 and a storing position for storing the sound collection part 9a in the body part 1, a coil spring 29 for energizing the microphone 9 to the pop-up position, a hook piece 13 for holding the microphone 9 in the storing position against the coil spring 29, and a plunger mechanism 16 for electrically separating the hook piece 13 at the time of a camera mode.
