Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent adverse influence on a pupil even if a photographer views the object of high luminance (the sun, etc.) through a finder.

CONSTITUTION: A camera switch 31 is turned on, and a photometric value obtained by the actuation of a photometry means 32 is compared with a reference photometric value 34 by a photometric value comparing means 33 and inputted to an OR circuit 37 together with zoom information 35a. The OR circuit 37 executes output only when the camera is turned towards the object of the high luminance in the tele-state of a zoom and when a first analog switch 39 is turned on and a second analog switch 40 is turned on, a diaphragm means 43a in a photographic lens system is actuated and the control of the decrease of the quantity of light entering the pupil of the photographer is executed. Moreover, a finder light quantity control means operation display 44 informs the photographer that the diaphragm means 43a is actuated.
