PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera extension device to and from which the camera body of a handy type camera can be easily attached and detached and in which attachment and detachment operation is easy as well.SOLUTION: The camera extension device includes a front lock part 10 attachably and detachably fixing the front part of the camera body to the front side of the camera attaching part 3 of the camera extension device 1 and a rear lock part 20 attachably and detachably fixing the rear part of the camera body to the rear side of the camera attaching part 3. The front lock part 10 includes a pair of lock plates 13A and 13B slidable in an approaching direction or in a separating direction. The lock plates 13A and 13B are slid in the approaching direction and engaged with a pair of front plates provided on both sides of the optical mount part of the front surface of the camera body, to fix the front part of the camera body to the camera attaching part 3. The rear lock part 20 fixes the rear part of the camera body to the camera attaching part 3 in conjunction with a connection operation between a camera body-side connector part and a camera extension device-side connector part.
