PURPOSE: To obtain a distinct visual field frame by providing a control part which controls the quantity of light from a light source emitting reference light according to the output level of a sensor outputting the electrical signal proportional to the brightness of an object and a switch part which controls the putting on and off of the light source.

CONSTITUTION: A finder using a hologram is shown. The optical system of a finder is constituted of an objective lens 10, an eye piece lens 102, a hologram 14 which is recorded with a visual field frame 18 provided between the lens 10 and the lens 12 and a lamp 16 as a reference light source which is connected to a battery or the like and is put on to irradiate light to the hologram 14 when the shutter is operated. The frame 18 is recorded on the hologram 14 so that the frame 18 is reproduced when the hologram is illuminated from a prescribed angle by the light source 16.
