Title:
CAMERA HAVING DATA IMPRINTING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004021013
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a camera having data imprinting function which is easy to control and capable of imprinting data on a film so that there are very few errors in shape and size.

After the completion of an exposure operation, motor pulse signals are output accompanying a film feed operation in which a film is wound up by one frame. Perforation signals for the film are output, the number of the motor pulse signals is counted during a period from the first to second perforation signal. Based upon the count value, determination is made for a light emission start pulse for controlling the position in which a light emitting element for data starts light emission, and a first light emission interval pulse for controlling the light emission intervals of the light emitting element. A mode for character data to be printed is detected. Based upon the data mode detected, the timing of the adjustment of the length of the data to be printed is determined. Then, determination is made for the second light emission interval pulse for adjusting the length of the data with the determined timing.
