Title:
CAMERA HOUSING HAVING GRIP RECESSED PART
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03135534
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a flash window or a lens hole from being covered with a user's finger and to select a pleasant finger put position by providing a pair of bowed recessed parts at a position where the user's finger is positioned on the front surface of a housing.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of grip recessed parts 46 and 50 recessed backward is formed on both sides of the camera lens 26 on the front surface 14 of the camera housing 12, and the recessed parts 46 and 50 are formed as curved barriers 48 and 52 forming a step part naturally crossed with the side walls 20 and 22 of the camera at one end and steeply crossed with the front surface 14 of the housing at the other end. For example, the step part forming walls 48 and 52 are formed in circular arc shape about 1/4 crossing the front surface 14 over at least 1/2 of a distance between the corresponding side walls 20 and 22 and an objective lens 26 from the corresponding side of the camera, and the lower end of the step part rises near the lower edge of the front surface 14 of the camera housing 12. Thus, the inadvertent finger putting way being a hindrance to the lens hole and the flash window is prevented and the user can put the finger at the optimum position for him.
