This camera is equipped with an LED display part 114 as the display device performing the specified display on the surface of a lens cover 202 functioning as the lens protecting member on the non-facing side to the camera main body 201 when the cover 202 is at the opposed position to the photographer. Namely, an LED 501 to an LED 503 constituting the display part 114 provided on the back surface of the cover 202 are arranged at facing positions to a subject side when the cover 202 is turned and opened. Thus, when the photographer uses the camera, the finish of photographing is clearly recognized on the subject side by utilizing display by the LED 501 to LED 503 provided on the back surface of the cover 202.
