To provide a camera having wide applicability and capable of performing more effective reproduction or the like of subject images on the basis of incidental information such as time elapsed from reference time and sounds.
A system controller 28 is provided with a stop watch function for counting time elapsed from the point of time of reference on the basis of date information outputted from a clock circuit 30 and recording the elapsed time at the time of image pickup together with the subject images. In the case of reproducing a series of the photographed subject images by the stop watch function, the system controller 28 calculates the reproducing time of each subject image from set total reproducing time, counted total elapsed time and the elapsed time recorded at each photographing time and executes display switching of the series of the subject images.
