Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote platform camera with a self-diagnosing function that enables a panning operation to be diagnosed securely at low cost.SOLUTION: A camera revolving device, operated with a control signal from a remote place, comprises: a camera housing part which houses a camera; a main body part supporting the camera housing; a pedestal part supporting the main body part, the pedestal part having a drive part for rotating the main body part and being columnar, and a panning speed detection pattern for detecting a speed of panning being printed at an upper-surface part of the pedestal part; panning speed detection means of making a calculation for determining whether the speed of panning is a constant speed from a luminance signal of a video signal when the camera is photographing the panning speed detection pattern; panning speed determination means of determining whether the speed of panning is proper through the panning speed detection means; and transmission means of transmitting the output of the panning speed determination means to the remote place.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
