The camera shutter includes a substrate having a shutter opening, a shutter blade opening/shutting the shutter opening, and a driving means driving the shutter blade, wherein the driving means comprises a rocking lever having an arm part coupled with the shutter blade and pivotally supported to freely rock, a permanent magnet provided at the arm part, a restricting member which faces the rocking lever at least at one of positions of both ends of an operation range of the rocking lever and which is composed of magnetic material, and an electromagnetic coil fixed to face the permanent magnet. By operating the rocking lever by attractive force or repulsive force of the permanent magnet by energizing the electromagnetic coil, the shutter blade is driven, and also the operation of the rocking lever is regulated by the restricting member at an operation stop position and/or a totally open position of the shutter blade.
