PURPOSE: To achieve highly accurate autofocusing without mistaking auxiliary light for storoboscopic light and to miniatulize the camera by arranging an opening member provided with an opening part, which leads flash light to an object as the autofocus auxiliary light when a flash part is in a first position.

CONSTITUTION: When a turning part 1, which contains a flash lamp FL 1, a reflecting plate 3, and a protective panel 4, is in the down condition in which a lock mechanism is functioning, autofocusing is carried out. When the flash lamp FL 1 flashes in the down condition, the front is irradiated with the flash light via the reflecting plate 3, the opening part 5, film 6, filter 7, and a lens 8, and an edge pattern is formed on an object plane. At the time of shutter release, the flash part 1 is turned by the force of a spring, and pops up; flashing is carried out in this condition. Since the object is irradiated after the auxiliary light is cut by a visible light element filter 7, the glare is eliminated; thus, the highly accurate autofocusing can be achieved without making the auxiliary light for the storoboscopic light.
