Title:
CAMERA WITH SIGHT-LINE DETECTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06167651
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the generation of ghost light of illumination light in an observation optical system by arranging the observation optical system, a lighting means, and a light receiving means so that their optical axes are different from one another, and arranging a light splitting means between the observation optical system and the eye.

CONSTITUTION: A light source 6 is an infrared light emitting element and the infrared light emitted by the light source 6 passes through a projection optical system 5 to irradiates the eye 61 of the photographer through a mirror 2a and a light splitting surface 1a of a light splitter 1. The infrared luminous flux of the light source 6 which is reflected by the eye 61 is bent by a light splitting surface 1b in the light splitter 1 to the opposite side from the light source 6 and further bent by a mirror 2b to pass through a light reception optical system 3 and reaches the light receiving means. Further, the light receiving means 4 is arranged conjugately to nearby the pupil of the eye 61 of the photographer about the light reception optical system 3, so a reflected image by the cornea of the eye 61, i.e., Purkinje 1st image and a border image of the pupil and iris or an image of the eye 61 is formed. Thus, the optical axes of the observation optical system, lighting system, and light reception system are arranged differently from one another.
