To provide a camera having a finder which is inexpensive and which is constituted so that the height of the camera can be suppressed while keeping finder magnification high.
This camera is constituted so that a subject image formed at the focal plane of a screen 3 by a photographing lens system 1 and a main mirror 2 is made into the normal erect image by a roof prism 4. Then, an eyepiece system 6 is arranged so that the optical axis thereof is set at an almost identical height position to the focal plane or under it at the back part of a film 8. Besides, this camera is provided with a reflection optical system guiding the subject image to the system 6 from the prism 4 and a cartridge chamber cover 11 for loading and unloading a film cartridge at a position where the optical path of the system 6 is avoided. Moreover, it is provided with the high- magnification finder while lowering the height of the camera.
