To restrain the increase in the size of a camera body to the by eliminating trouble that dead space is formed under a cartridge chamber when the outside diameter of a lens barrel unit gets longer than the length in the axial length direction of a spool chamber in a camera where the layout of internal equipment is improved.

This camera is provided with a level difference space formed from relative relation to the cartridge chamber under the spool chamber in the camera body, a lens barrel unit which is arranged between the cartridge chamber and the spool chamber, and whose outside diameter is larger than the length in the axial length direction of the spool chamber and whose outside diameter is partially projected lower than the base of the spool chamber, a battery for a camera power source arranged above the cartridge chamber or under the spool chamber in the camera body, a capacitor for flashing arranged above the spool chamber or above the cartridge chamber in the camera body, and a driving motor for driving the lens barrel unit and arranged in the level difference space.
