This camera is provided with the humidity detection means 11 for detecting the humidity, a lens detachment inhibiting means (inhibition means) 16 for setting operation by an operation member to an inhibited state when the humidity detected by the detection means 11 is equal to or above a specified value, and a posture detection means 15 for detecting posture. If the posture detected by the detection means 15 is the specified one, the operation inhibited state of the operation member by the inhibiting means 16 is released.
