Title:
CAMERA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010181522
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To compensate for a change in rear curtain release time resulting from a temperature rise due to continuous supply of power to a rear curtain magnet.

The camera locks or unlocks the running of the front and rear curtains of a shutter by use of corresponding magnets, thereby controlling the exposure of an image sensor. The camera performs a predetermined operation in the open state of the shutter in which the front curtain is run by canceling the supply of power to the front curtain and the running of the rear curtain is locked by supplying power to the rear curtain magnet. The cameras estimates temperature of the rear curtain magnet in the open state of the shutter. On the basis of the estimated temperature, the camera alters a power supply cancellation timing for the rear magnet when a still picture is photographed after the predetermined operation.
