Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the vibration of a building by providing a damper to one end of a column in a structure and, at the same time, connecting it to the other end thereof with a tie rod, and damping the axial expansion-vibration of the column generated by horizontal force.
CONSTITUTION: An oil damper 3 is provided to one end of a column 1 of which a structure is constituted, and it is connected to the other end of the column 1 with a tie rod consisting of a PC steel bar, etc. The axial expansion-vibration of the column generated by horizontal force is damped. According to the constitution, the vibration of a building can be reduced.
