Abstract:
To properly restore suction/exhaust timings of a dynamic valve mechanism even if an engine is reversely rotating due to some reason.SOLUTION: A camshaft drive gear mounted to an engine in one embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a drive-side portion engaged with transmission means; a driven-side gear connected to a camshaft; and an elasticity applying portion which acts in a direction of pushing the drive-side portion and the driven-side portion against each other. A pair of engagement grooves which engage with each other in forward rotation are formed on opposing faces of the drive-side portion and the driven-side portion. In the engagement grooves, there are provided a phase adjustment gear for adjusting phases of a crankshaft and the camshaft, a gear groove in which the phase adjustment gear can move, and a gear accommodation recess which can accommodate the phase adjustment gear in the gear groove during forward rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
