Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a camshaft which can stably secure desired assembling strength on assembling the cam and the shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Grooves 3 and protruding bars 4 are formed into a hollow shaft with surface roughness set equal to or lower than 100 μm to obtain a smooth irregular surface. Consequently press-fitting of the cam 2 and the shaft 1 is smoothly carried out and the assembling strength is made stable.
