PURPOSE: To provide a fire distinguishing function and a convenience in handling of a can-like portable solid fuel cooking store for use in a hiking or the like by a method wherein an aeration floor is installed in the unit and an air-tight lid is fixed to a container capable of storing a solid fuel.

CONSTITUTION: An aeration floor 2 is arranged in a container 1 and a solid fuel such as charcoal or the like is set in the aeration floor 2 in a manner of can-like arrangement, and then an air-tight lid 4 is provided in such a manner as it may be removed or opened or closed. One end of the aeration floor 2 is bent and projected to form a spacing 6 between it and a wall surface of the container 1 and to form a stack part. With this arrangement, it is also possible to extinguish fire with an air-tight lid and to provide a safe and convenient handling of the unit.
