PURPOSE: To perform the mass production of a comparatively small sized and special shaped sealed can with good efficiency by overlapping two sheets of metallic plates in the same shape by putting them in order, by welding or adhering the mutual peripheral edges of both plates and by press-fitting a pressure fluid between both plate mating faces inside a forming metal die.

CONSTITUTION: A through hole 13 is made on one part of two metallic plates 11, 12 formed in the same shape, for instance on a plate 12. An intermediate product A is then made by overlapping the plate 11, 12 by putting the peripheral end edges of the both in order and by welding or adhering the mutual peripheral end edges of the both over the whole periphery. A pressure fluid 15 is press- fitted between the mating face of the plate 11, 12 via the through hole 13, pressure fluid feeding pipe 22, after fixing the horizontal peripheral edge part by pinching it between the upper and lower metal dies by putting this intermediate product A into the forming metal die 14 of split structure. The sealed can is thus obtd. by bulge-forming the intermediate product A so as to coincide with the inner face shape of the metal die 14. In this way the metallic plate is obtd. with good yield and the intermediate product is not bulky and convenient for the storage and transportation.
