A bottle can manufacturing apparatus comprises a workpiece supporting base for supporting a workpiece, and a tool supporting base which supports a working tool 3 for working the workpiece and is arranged so as to be opposed to the workpiece supporting base in the axial direction of the workpiece. The workpiece is worked by moving the tool supporting base so as to approach and separate from the workpiece supporting base. The tool supporting base is provided with a working tool unit 30 for fixing the working tool 3, an outside supporting frame 21 provided on the outer periphery side of the working tool unit 30, and a linear driving mechanism 40 for reciprocating the working tool unit 30 in the axial direction of the workpiece. The working tool unit 30 is fixed to the outside supporting frame 21.
