Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition which has good combustibility, can realize the production of a candle by the manual application technique conventionally employed in the production of Japanese candle, and can be suitably used as a substitute for natural Japan wax.
CONSTITUTION: The composition contains a fatty acid glyceride and an oxidized wax as the essential constituents. It is desirable that the fatty acid for the glyceride be a 10-30C fatty acid, that the oxidized wax comprise an oxidized hydrocarbon, that the weight ratio of the fatty acid glyceride to the oxidized wax is (20 to 98):(2 to 80), and that the melting point of the composition is 40-80°C.
