To provide a candle stand capable of housing a candle in a lamp chimney soon after igniting it when the candle is to be used in a standing state at outdoors with relatively strong wind, for example, at a visit to a grave.

A lid can be used as a stand by fitting it into an outer bottom part of a cup-shaped body when igniting the candle, namely, when not used as a lid, and the candle stand is structured so as to extinguish the candle by oxygen shortage when the lid is put during lighting. The candle is mounted/dismounted after removing the lid and taking out a candle holding part to outside by using a tongue-shaped part extended from the candle holding part. Normal ignition and extinction can be carried out with the lid in a removed state, holding the tongue-shaped part of the candle holding part by hand, and drawing out the tip part of the candle up to middle part from an upper opening of the cup-shaped part. By the above, the candle can be housed in the lamp chimney soon after ignition.
