Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cane harvester enabling easy operation, effective for improving the harvesting efficiency and lessening the mental fatigue of the operator.
SOLUTION: An end of a swinging arm 54 is pivoted to a lower arm 52 of a link mechanism supporting a crop divider 6 and a crop lifter 3 and the rod-side tip end of a hydraulic cylinder 7 is pivoted to the nearly middle part of the length of the swinging arm 54. The swinging arm 54 is positioned at the lowered position D during the operation of the crop divider 6 by extending the hydraulic cylinder 7 and disengaging the swinging arm 54 from the lower arm 52. Since the link mechanism 5 is freely movable in this state without being hindered with the hydraulic cylinder 7, the crop divider 6 is supported by a following plate 27 and moved following the undulation of the ground surface 81 to stably position the divider near the ground surface 81. It is unnecessary to adjust the extension of the hydraulic cylinder according to the surface undulation of the ground to facilitate the operation of the cane harvester.
