The canning system comprises a controller 1 provided with canning information (a), and a weighing unit 5 connected with the controller 1 and fed with the canning information (a). The controller 1 is fed with canning information including the weight of meals to be contained in a can, i.e., a reference weight, an upper limit weight determined by adding a specified weight to the reference weight, and a lower limit weight determined by subtracting a specified weight from the reference weight. The weighing unit 5 comprises a section 52 for weighing a can containing meals, a section 53 for comparing a weighed value at the weighing section 52 with the reference weight, upper limit weight and lower limit weight of canning information (a), and a section 54 for displaying the comparison results (c) at least visually in four stages.
