To provide a canopy cloth for use in an umbrella capable of simply unfolding the canopy cloth by movement for raising a ring runner along an umbrella stick in a direction from a downside of the stick and folding the same by movement in a direction from an edge side (a ferrule) of the stick.

In a conventional umbrella structure, the canopy cloth is tightly expanded by a method wherein at a time of unfolding, strong force raising the ring runner supporting stretchers from a lower spring to an upper spring along the umbrella stick travels across umbrella ribs to make the umbrella ribs arched and the canopy cloth brought into close contact with the umbrella ribs tightly expanded. A simply structured umbrella eliminating parts used in the conventional umbrella structure has weak raising force even if the conventional cloth is used, hardly making the canopy cloth tightly expanded. A material having a purpose for expanding the canopy cloth itself and requisites necessary for the canopy cloth is utilized and used to solve the problems in the simply structured umbrella.
