To provide a light-weight and easily handleable cantilever carrier truck and method of changing hoses by using the cantilever carrier truck.

The cantilever carrier truck comprises horizontal beam members 13 disposed in parallel with prescribed intervals, a gate-shaped frame 14 connecting the beam members, wheel mechanisms 23 with casters 21 attached under the horizontal beam members, and a hanging member 25 mounted at the upper center of the gate-shaped frame 14. The method of changing hoses by using the cantilever carrier truck comprises: a process of supporting one end of a hose by a crane and moving the other end between the crane and the cantilever carrier truck 10 waiting on carrying passages 44-48, and a process of supporting the other end by the cantilever carrier truck 10, supporting the other part of the flanged hose 11 by a mounting truck 32 and carrying the flanged hose 11.
