Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cantilever squirrel-cage induction motor which reduces a magnetic attraction force on the rotor non-supporting side while a motor characteristic is kept equal to that in conventional cases and which can be started and rotated stably.
CONSTITUTION: The skew of rotor slots 2Aa, 2Bb for rotors 2A, 2B is changed in the direction of a rotor shaft according to a prescribed shape, and the skew on the non-supporting side is made smaller than that on the supporting side. It is desirable that the prescribed shape of the changed skew is formed to be a tangent line which is bent at least on one or more parts, a curve which is constituted of at least two or more kinds of curvatures or a composed shape of the tangent line and the curve. In addition, it is desirable that the mean value of changing skew amount is set to a value of 0.7 or 1.6 of a stator-slot pitch.
