To provide a cap assembly covering the mouth of a bottle, and a method for capping the cap assembly to the bottle, in which the cap assembly has function to open an inner plug only by the operation of a cap when detaching the cap at a first time, and also, the cap assembly can be easily attached to the bottle.
A cap assembly includes an inner plug 40 and a cap 50 each having a male screw 411c and a female screw 541. In the state in which the inner plug 40 and the cap 50 are assembled, a bottle 60 is capped with a cap assembly, when detaching the cap 50 for the first time, first, the cap 50 is turned in a closing direction to break a joint part 52, thereafter, the cap 50 is turned in the opening direction to detach the lid body 42 of the inner plug 40 together with the cap 50, and accordingly, the inner plug 40 is also made in an open state.
