To provide a cap that is highly hermetic, copes with a wide-mouth container, and has a peel-proof function and a tamper-evident function.
The cap body 12 of the cap 10 has a top face 14 that covers the mouth 2 of a container 1. A cylindrical side face 16 extends from the top face 14. A female thread 18 that screws onto the male thread 3 of the container 1 is formed on the inside of the side face 16. A removable strip 22 is formed along the lower end of the side face 16. A hold part 26 for an engaging section 24 is formed along the lower end of the removable strip 22. Engaging portions 28 are formed at the lower end of the hold part 26. An easy-to-cut portion 30a is formed between the side face 16 and the removal strip 22. An easy-to-cut portion 30b is formed between the removal strop 22 and the hold part 26. An easy-to-cut portion 30c is formed in an area intersecting the removable strip 22. A hooking portion 32 is formed at one end 22a of the removal strip 22, and a recess 34 at the other end 22b.
