To provide a capacitance type input device having a structure of light-transmitting electrodes arranged in biaxial directions in the same layer, in which a conductor mutually connecting the light-transmitting electrodes in one axial direction is less visible and less likely to be disconnected.
A capacitance type input device includes: a substrate 2; a plurality of conductors formed on a surface of the substrate and arrayed in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction; a plurality of insulating films 6 disposed in one-to-one arrangement corresponding to the plurality of conductors so as to partially cover each of the plurality of conductors; a plurality of first light-transmitting electrodes 3 arrayed in the first and second directions; and a plurality of second light-transmitting electrodes arrayed in the first and second directions, each disposed between rows and between columns of the first light-transmitting electrodes. Each first light-transmitting electrode aligned to the first direction is mutually electrically connected by contacting a portion of the conductor not covered with the insulating film, while each second light-transmitting electrode aligned to the second direction are mutually connected on the insulating film.
