PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type transducer capable of reducing a side lobe.SOLUTION: In the capacitance type transducer including a component 14 that has a plurality of cells 12 in which a vibration membrane 9 containing one of a pair of electrodes formed with a gap kept between is supported to be capable of vibrating, the distance between cells at the end of the component is wider than the distance between cells in the central part of the component.
