To reduce the space in the height direction of a capacitor mounting apparatus for mounting and fixing an elongated circular capacitor composed of an semicircular or semielliptic part and a straight part on a substrate surface using capacitor mounting members, to obtain a sufficient hold strength even in a constitution holding both sides of the capacitor, to smoothly radiate heat even from the capacitor side through the mounting members, and to improve the vibration resistance in the perpendicular direction to the holding direction with the mounting members.

A capacitor mounting member shaped like a block has a capacitor fixing surface provided on the semicircular or semielliptic side wall of the capacitor, and a block-shaped mounting jig provided on the semicircular or semielliptic side wall. A projection provided on the mounting member is fitted into a recess provided in the side outer wall of the capacitor.
